杜启遂主编的《外贸英语函电(国际商务类应用型十三五规划教材)》分为上、下篇两部分。上篇为教材,下篇为辅导材料。上篇教材共分十章。《外贸英语函电(国际商务类应用型十三五规划教材)》介绍外贸信函的写作要求、布局与格式以及电子邮件、传真等电子通信内容及通过外贸流程的各个环节展示各种不同的函电实例。每章均由以下部分组成:学习目标、概述、情景提要、信函实例(课文)、写作技巧、课文注释、生词与词语、课后练习、实训、常用语句。概述介绍了相关的业务知识:情景提要简述了信函的写作背景;写作技巧说明了本章信函的写作要点;课文注释对语言及相关业务知识难点进行解析与说明;生词与词语不仅介绍了常用词语及句型,配有示例,同时还提供了同义词、反义词、类似表达法等,有助于提高学生的语言素养及能力。课后练习旨在帮助学生巩固所学章节内容,实训则是通过案例操作,将函电写作技能运用于业务操作,提高学生实际应用能力。常用语句给学生提供了大量的语言素材,帮助他们归纳课文句型,拓宽语言知识,从而在实际运用中更能得心应手。考虑到当代外贸常用的通信方式,除了首篇课文外,所有的函电实例都采用了电子邮件的形式。下篇将上篇部分每章的概述、情景提要、信函、写作技巧、常用语句等做了翻译并附上各章练习及实训的参考答案。此外,附录提供了全书的单词索引、常用外贸缩略语,便于教师及学习者翻阅参考。
