许江、靳埭强主编的《遗产与更新中国设计教育反思》就是在这样的契机下产生的。本书选取了由中国美术学院主办的“包豪斯与东方”国际研讨会及汕头大学主办的“中国与包豪斯——纪念包豪斯创立91周年国际研讨会”的优秀论文，是中国学界组织的有关包豪斯研究的重要成果集结。我想这次的出版只有一个目的，就是为了了解过去德国的那些人、那段历史与当今世界生活方式与设计及其产业的关系，这些人都经过“三视”的历程，故而能够借题发挥，借“他山之石”，理性地去攻克和破解中国设计教育与当代中国人生活方式以及产业关系的难颢。
